Roles of a County Contact
Help us in our mission to make animal cruelty/neglect to cats and dogs a felony!
This list is a guideline for being a county contact. Other ways of promoting public awareness is encouraged to help promote our mission.
1. Send e-mails to your friends, family and e-mail contacts to promote the website (www.ms-fact.org) for information regarding our mission.
2. Print brochures and petitions to circulate in your county.
3. Gain support of volunteers in your county to help promote awareness (e.g., pass out brochures, get petitions signed, etc.).
4. Write local newspapers regarding views of the current laws, cruelty cases in your area, and articles about our mission.
5. Respond to e-mails from people in your area about ways they can help, as well as provide support and guidance regarding our goals.
6. E-mail, write, and call your counties Senators and Representatives.
7. Provide input about planning, strategizing, and promoting MS-FACT via e-mail discussions and attending occasional meetings with officers and other core members.
8. Utilize media contacts, newspapers, television, or radio to bring awareness to cases of animal cruelty and how the current laws fail to protect these defenseless animals.
9. Call, write and e-mail Farm Bureau members and voice your concerns regarding their opposition to a felony charge for animal cruelty cases to cats and dogs.
10. Be a member of our Facebook Group and Cause "Mississippi - Fighting Animal Cruelty Together" and have others join.
